Electric and Power Showers
There are two basic types of powered shower in common use:
A power shower is essentually a electric booster pump that utilises your existing hot water supply, for an invigorating, high-powered shower. They can be surface mounted in place of an existing mixer, or the booster pump assembly hidden from view with only a normal mixer control visible to operate the shower.
An electric shower is a self-contained water heater designed to run straight off the cold water main. These are particularly usefull where hot water supply is limited or already over-used, and with models of around 11kW avaliable can be quite powerfull too.
